Scott R. Crawford
Scott R. Crawford
Cedar Rapids
Scott R. Crawford of Cedar Rapids, born 8/6/1955, passed away peacefully in his home 8/6/2025, on his 70th Birthday, surrounded by loved ones.
Scott is survived by his wife of 30 years, Jonetta Crawford; children Joshua (Kari) Yenter, Nicole Yenter, Stacie (Shige) Sugioka, Sarah, Beth, Jill and Martina. He was blessed with 11 grandchildren.
Scott loved football, whether coaching little league or watching the Chiefs, riding Ragbrai, playing golf, scuba diving, traveling and camping with his wife and 4 cocker spaniels. Scott was a great father and grandfather to those that allowed him to be. Scott loved watching his grandchildren launching rockets, and swim and sitting by the lake.
Scott loved going on cruises, Scott's romantic side showed when he renewed his wedding vows on the last cruise.
We didn’t expect Scott to live to see Super Bowl LIX, Scott was told by doctors that he was dying we were devastated to hear that news. We were blessed with 6 more months.
Scott is preceded in death by parents Robert and Gloria Crawford, son Lucas Yenter, and sisters Chris and Sharman.
I would like to offer a special thank-you to Scott's friend Jim Paxton, daughters Nicole and Stacie, and the hospice ladies for their assistance and making Scott's last days better. Scott will forever be missed but still loved by all that knew him. Scott's final wish was to not have a funeral but rather a celebration of life. That will be at a later date.
