Scott “Mongo” Prandy, 59, of Sandersville, Ga., formerly of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away Thursday, June 9, 2022, at his residence. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Grandview Pavilion at Bever Park on Thursday, July 14, 2022, from 5 to 7 p.m. A moment of sharing will begin at 6 p.m.
Scott was born in Grinnell, Iowa, and served his country as a member of the United States Navy. He spent his working career as a neuro diagnostic technologist. He was a compassionate and giving person who was good at anything he did. Scott was a passionate disc golfer and an avid Green Bay Packers fan. He loved his family above all else and was a wonderful dad and papa.
Scott is survived by his wife of 38 years, Karen Chase Prandy; children, Brittany Fennell (Spencer), Jillian Stewart (C-Jay) and Seth Prandy (Lauren), all of Georgia; grandchildren, Sebastian Walton, Michael Walton, Bryceon Fennell, Brody Workman, Brock Burnside, Maebree Fennell and Aubrey Workman; great-granddaughter, Natalie Crosby; mother, Karen Humbert of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; siblings, Ron Humbert, Tammy Etscheidt, Laurie Roth and Dawn Pulford, all of Iowa, and Kalvin Prandy of Wisconsin.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Lance Humbert; brother, Mike Humbert; and his niece, Bonnie Humbert.
