Scott, Melvin
Melvin Scott, 89, of Elkader, died Friday, Aug. 7, 2009, at the Elkader Care Center. Memorial services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Peace United Church of Christ, Elkader, with Pastor Andrea Mericle officiating. Inurnment: 1:15 p.m. Tuesday at Cass Township Cemetery, Strawberry Point. Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Leonard Funeral Home in Elkader.
He is survived by his daughter, Mary (Jake) Noggle, Springville; sons, Roger Scott, Marion, and Dale (Sherry) Scott, Elkader; daughter-in-law, Laura Scott, Cedar Rapids; nine grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four stepgreat-grandchildren; his companion, Evelyn Nading; and many friends.
Melvin was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marion; and one grandson, Craig Noggle.
