Scott M. Kaalberg, 62, of Riverside, passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at his home in Riverside. Private family services will be held at a later date with burial in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Riverside. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in memory of Scott. Online condolences may be left at www.sandhfuneralservice.com. The Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Riverside is caring for Scott’s family and his arrangements.
Scott Michael Kaalberg was born on January 22, 1962, in Iowa City, Iowa the son of Frank E. and Betty R. (Lungquist) Kaalberg. He was a 1980 graduate of Highland High School and attended the University of Texas Community College in San Antonio. Scott was an avid Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears, Kansas City Chiefs and Pittsburg Steelers fan. He enjoyed collecting coins, sports, feeding and watching birds, puzzles, gardening and flowers, known to possess a green thumb, but most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
Scott will be deeply missed by his three nieces, Katie (Adam) Beitz of Cedar Rapids, Kourtney (Brandon) Schickling of Iowa City and Lindsey (Garrett) Roth of Chicago.
Scott was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Kirk Kaalberg.
