Scott, George Albert
George Albert Scott, 81, of Bognor Regis, Sussex, England, died Jan. 16, 2011, at Chichester Hospital, England. Services: 11:30 a.m. Feb. 4 at Chichester Crematorium, Chichester, West Sussex, England.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth; children, Janet (Chris) Bull and Cindy Scott (Derek Levy); grandchildren, Louise and Marcus Bull; nephew and family, Scott, Julie and Taylor Pameticky; and niece, Diana Tharp.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William James and Rose May Scott; brother, Stanley William David Scott; sister, Ivy Rosemary Pameticky; and his best friend, Francis Neil Pameticky.
George was born in London to William James Scott and Rose May Anderson; the family moved to Bognor Regis, Sussex, during the German blitz on London in World War II and maintained their residence there. He married Elizabeth Baldock on Feb. 21, 1952, and they had two daughters, Janet and Cindy.
George was very proud of his daughters and spoke of them often. George also loved America, especially the old American West. On one of George's last visits, he had the opportunity to visit the home of one of his favorite American western characters, Jesse James, in St. Joseph, Mo. George also enjoyed walking down Czech Village in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and made many friends at Al's Red Frog, Ernie's, and the Safari Lounge.
