Scott, Anna Lee
Anna Lee Scott, 74, of Mount Pleasant, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, July 11, 2013, at Arbor Court in Mount Pleasant. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 15, at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, 607 S. Jackson St., Mount Pleasant, with Father Joseph Phung, pastor, as celebrant. Burial will be at St. Alphonsus Cemetery. Friends may call from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday at Kimzey Funeral Home, 213 N. Main St., Mount Pleasant. Visitation will continue from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at St. Alphonsus Church, where there will be a Scriptural wake service at 7 p.m.
Anna Lee Scott was born Dec. 5, 1938, in Mount Pleasant, the daughter of Leo Francis and Mary Alice (Burns) Scott. She graduated from Ottumwa Heights Academy in Ottumwa in 1957. For 29 years, she was the computer specialist for Merchants National Bank in Cedar Rapids, retiring in 1999.
Anna Lee was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church and a former member of St. Matthew's Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids. Anna Lee was a member of Theatre Cedar Rapids and participated in the Cedar Rapids Follies in a variety of capacities.
Survivors include a sister, Jean (Max) Beavers of Mount Pleasant; 17 nieces and nephews; and numerous great- and great-great nieces and nephews.
Her parents, two brothers, two sisters, and twin sisters in infancy preceded in death.
Memorials may be directed to the choir of St. Alphonsus Church.
