Schwingle, Sybil Lucille
Sybil Lucille Schwingle, 79, of Alburnett, died Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2012, at St Joseph's Hospital of Atlanta. Services: 11 a.m. Monday at the Alburnett Christian Church, by Pastor Dan Peterson. Visitation will be Sunday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home in Cedar Rapids from 3 to 6 p.m. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Wayne Schwingle; a daughter, Sandra (Dennis) Almeida of Cumming, Ga.; a stepdaughter, Ellen (Richard) Helmold of Bennett, Iowa; a stepson, John Schwingle of Sioux Falls, S.D.; a sister, Mary Ellen (Richard) Brady of Runnells, Iowa; and her grandchildren, April Raine, Melanie Rudd, Nicholas (Beth) Helmold, Lyndsey and Branndon Almeida.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Joellen Eckles; son, Kenneth Schwingle; stepson, Daniel Schwingle; and brothers, Andy, Frank and Larry Monaco.
Sybil was born Dec. 21, 1932, in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of Frank and Lucille (Allison) Monaco. She married Wayne Schwingle on March 8, 1964, in LaMoille, Ill.
She was a member of Alburnett Christian Church. Sybil loved spending time with her family and especially the grandchildren.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Memorials may be directed to Special Olympics or Alburnett Christian Church.
