Schutterle, Charles A.
Charles A. Schutterle, 78, a resident of the Hiawatha Care Center, died there Friday, Sept. 23, 2011. There will be no services at this time. Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his son, Randy C. Schutterle of Cedar Rapids; a grandson, Matthew; and a sister, Evelyn Kramer of Cedar Rapids.
Charles was born March 1, 1933, the son of Jacob and Frieda Schutterle, in rural Benton County. He served in the United States Army. Charles worked for Wilson Packing House for 30 years and the City of Cedar Rapids for 10 years. He was a Cubs fan all the way.
Instead of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
