Schutt, Charlotte L.
Charlotte L. Schutt, 81, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2011, at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids. Services will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Charlotte LaVone Schutt was born Dec. 6, 1929, in Viola, Iowa, to Clarence and Gertrude (Glass) Knapp. She was united in marriage to Theodore Schutt on July 31, 1952. Charlotte owned and operated Char's Ceramics and Porcelain Dolls, where she gave many classes. She was a promoter for the U.S. Cellular Craft Show for 30 years.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and all around crafter. Charlotte will be greatly missed.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Ted; daughters, Pam (Bob) Kieper of Roscoe, Ill., Dixie (Moe) Kassem of Cedar Rapids and Connie (Bill) Thompson of Westgate; siblings, Violet Brislawn and Virginia Howe, both of Marion, Marvin (Esther) Knapp of Waubeek and Betty (Bob) Daubenmier of Cedar Rapids; nine grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Howard Knapp; and sister, Garnet Wilcox.
