Schulze, Peggy L.
Peggy L. Schulze, 82, of 650 34th St. SE, died Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2010, at her home after a short illness. Services: 1 p.m. Monday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. The Rev. Dr. Kay Slocum will officiate. Entombment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday.
Survivors include her husband, David; two daughters, Janet (Michael) Evans of Cedar Rapids and Luanne (Brian) Carter of Swisher; three sons, Gary of Phoenix, Ariz., and John and Bob, both of Cedar Rapids; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a granddaughter, Nicki Evans.
Peggy was born May 20, 1928, in Columbus Junction, the daughter of Arthur and Rachel (Green) Hanson. She married David E. Schulze on May 2, 1948, in Cedar Rapids. Peggy was a homemaker and a member of First Lutheran Church. She enjoyed their cabin in Delhi with family and friends for many years, was an avid Hawkeye fan, and enjoyed watching the birds in the backyard feeders.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Peggy's name.
