Schultz, Timothy James
Timothy James Schultz, 44, of Cedar Rapids, died Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012, in northern Minnesota from injuries suffered in a snowmobile accident. Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at First Lutheran Church, by the Rev. Steven Knudson and the Rev. Craig Brown. Burial: Linwood Cemetery. Friends may visit Thursday from 2 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. at First Lutheran Church. Teahen Funeral Home is serving the family.
Tim is survived by his wife, Heather; son, Spencer, and daughter, Sailor; parents, Jim and Sue Schultz; sister, Pam (P.J.) Kalb, all of Cedar Rapids; brother, Todd Schultz of Palo; nieces and nephews, Tyler, Courtney and Parker Kalb and Colton, Jordan and Hailey Schultz; aunt and uncle, Bill and Pat Mann of Cedar Rapids; and cousins, Shelly (Jay) Cassill of Newhall and Angie (Kent) Possehl of Cedar Rapids.
Tim was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ed and Esther Mann and Richard and Emma Schultz.
Timothy was born April 27, 1967, in Cedar Rapids, the son of James and Suzanne (Mann) Schultz. He graduated from Kennedy High School in 1985. He married Heather Dickinson on May 28, 2000, at First Lutheran Church, where he also was a member. Tim worked at International Paper.
Tim's family was his world and he was the best father and uncle ever. He did everything with passion. He enjoyed snowmobiling with his brother Todd and was a Detroit Red Wing and Iowa Hawkeye wrestling fan.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family to be used for his children's education.
