Schultz, Nora E.
Nora E. Schultz, 85, died Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011, at Jones Regional Hospital, Anamosa, following a brief illness. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, at graveside in Pennington Cemetery, Sigourney. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 4 until 7 at Goettsch Funeral Home, Monticello.
Surviving are two children, Bev Kerkove and Danny (Edith) Schultz, both of Monticello; five grandchildren, Tami (Mike) Kray and Cindi (Eric) Schwendinger, both of Monticello, Angela Anderson and Todd Schultz, both of Ottumwa, and Holly Walker of Victor; 11 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Richard (Norma) McIntyre of Topeka, Kan.; and a sister-in-law, Opal McIntyre of Waterloo.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; twin grandsons, Mark and Phillip; two brothers, Lloyd and Jay; and a sister, Virginia.
Nora E. McIntyre was born Sept. 10, 1926, at Guthrie Center, Iowa, the daughter of Fred and Rose (Lager) McIntyre. Nora received her education in the Sigourney, Iowa schools. She was married to Wilfred Schultz and the couple operated a locker in Hayesville, Iowa. Nora had also worked as a nurse's aide at the Keokuk County Hospital.
