Schultz, Gregory Robert
Gregory Robert Schultz, 61, of Robins, died Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha, after long courageous battle with diabetes. Teahen Funeral Home, Cedar Rapids, is serving the family.
Gregory is survived by his wife, Karen, of Robins; two sons, Bob and Chris Schultz, both of Cedar Rapids; mother, Charmion Schultz of Quasqueton; sister, Gloria (Steve) Johnson of Hudson, Wis.; and two granddaughters, Mikayla and Sophia.
His father, Robert, and sister, Cynthia Klever, preceded Gregory in death.
Gregory Robert Schultz was born July 17, 1949, in Independence, Iowa, the son of Robert and Charmion (Frederick) Schultz. He worked at Evergreen Packing for 21 years, retiring in 2005. He served in the United States Army. Gregory married Karen A. Matus on June 29, 1991, at The Little Brown Church in Nashua.
Gregory enjoyed landscaping, fishing, and target shooting. Gregory will be missed by his family and his three dogs.
