Schultz, Doris Mae
Doris Mae Schultz, 92, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013. Memorial services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel, where visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday. Inurnment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Born in Unity, Wis., on March 20, 1921, the daughter of Fannie Moulds and George Engledow, the Engledow family moved back to the Shellsburg, Iowa area in 1939. Doris married Harold Schultz on Aug. 20, 1945, and was married for 58 years before Harold's death in 2003.
Surviving are three sons, Jim (Margret) of Granbury, Texas, and Mark (Brenda) and David, both of Cedar Rapids; a daughter, Christine (Larry Carney) of Cedar Rapids; a sister, Bernadine Watson of Overland Park, Kan.; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Preceding Doris in death were her husband, Harold; parents; brothers, Raymond and Wilbur; and sisters, her twin Dorothy and Mildred.
Doris was a longtime member of Edgewood Family Fellowship Church and was a member of the Vinton Club for many years. She loved to travel, spend time with family and friends and enjoyed her time attending Milestones Adult Day Health Center.
