Schoonover, Maranda Marie
Maranda Marie Schoonover, 84, of Washington, Iowa, died Saturday, Oct. 1, 2011, at Mercy Iowa City following a sudden illness. Celebration of life services will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 6, at the United Methodist Church, Washington, officiating. Visitation will begin at noon Wednesday at the Jones Eden Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial services will take place at 3 p.m. today at the Day Lounge at Halcyon House.
She is survived by her daughter, Jacqueline Schoonover of Longmont, Colo.; daughter, Martha Rasso and husband Terry of Moline, Ill.; daughter, Sara Machael and husband Hal of Maquoketa; son, Eric Schoonover and wife Diana of Washington; son, Norman “Bub” Schoonover II of Blanchard, Okla.; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mary Martin of Duluth, Minn.
