Schnyder, Michael 'Mike' W.

Michael “Mike” W. Schnyder, 51, of Marion, died Monday, Nov. 2, 2009, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids. Services: 11 a.m. Friday at Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Marion. The family will greet friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial: Oak Shade Cemetery, Marion, with military honors provided by Marion American Legion Post #298.

Survivors include wife, Debra of Marion; mother, Lois Schnyder of Milton, Pa.; children, Andrew Beaupre of Cedar Rapids, Shaun Sagner of Marion, Bryce Sagner of Marion and Brianna Sagner of Marion; siblings, Tracie (Raymond) Leitzel, Andrea Trivelpiece, and Thomas Schnyder, all of Pennsylvania; father-in-law, Treffle Beaupre of Fort Madison; and three grandchildren, Elijah, Kaylee and Aurora.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Mike was born Aug. 20, 1958, in Williamsport, Pa., the son of Maynard and Lois (Meckley) Schnyder. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Mike was the manager of Cigarette Outlet #6. He married Debra Beaupre on Feb. 1, 2003, in Las Vegas.

Mike was an avid Philadelphia sports fan, especially the Phillies and the Eagles. He enjoyed going to the races and watching NASCAR.

A memorial fund has been established in Mike's honor.
