Schneider, Roma Hoult
Roma Hoult Schneider, 77, of Texarkana, Texas, died Friday, Nov. 20, 2009, in a hospital. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Oakwood Cemetery, Monticello, Iowa. Following the service there will be a visitation at the VFW Hall in Monticello.
She is survived by her grandchildren, Trevor Schneider, Rachel Schneider, Alexandra Schneider, Jack Colton Schneider, Jared Hill and Adam Hill; a sister, Betty-Hoult Greim; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John F. Hoult, Edna Hoult Jacobsen and adopted father, Merle Jacobsen; and a sister, Jeane-Hoult Fisk.
Roma was born March 5, 1932, in Monticello, Iowa, to John F. Hoult and Edna Folkers Hoult. She graduated from Monticello High School and attended Northeast School of Medical Technology in Minneapolis, Minn. She married Carroll E. Schneider and had three children, Jack C. Schneider of Loveland, Colo., Teri L. Colston (Dennis) of Cedar Rapids, and Kirk A. Schneider (Cheri) of Mount Pleasant, Texas. Roma was a secretary and held various office positions for many years. She routinely volunteered her services at hospitals over the past 40 plus years.
She had lived in Texarkana, Texas, for the past 20 years.
She was a member of Williams Memorial United Methodist Church, Texarkana, Texas, an avid bridge player, a loving mother, grandmother and wife.
