Schneider, Evelyn C.
Evelyn C. Schneider, 86, of Cedar Rapids, died Saturday, Jan. 30, 2010, at Mercy Medical Center after a short illness. Services at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, Cedar Rapids, where there also will be military rites. Burial at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Survivors include four daughters, Jan Moneypenny, Mary Jo Kinney and Jackie (Dennis) Clinton, all of Cedar Rapids, and Jeannie (Bill) Claassen of Newhall; and a sister, Ann Westphal of Chisholm, Minn.
She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Jerri Schneider.
Evelyn was born on April 28, 1923, in Minneapolis, Minn. She was a homemaker and proudly served in the Navy during World War II. Evelyn was a wonderful mother and grandmother who will always be remembered by her beloved family.
A memorial fund has been established Evelyn's name.
