Scheetz, Helen Maxine
Helen Maxine Scheetz, 92, died Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at Oaknoll Retirement Community in Iowa City. Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m. Friday, May 10, at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery in Cedar Rapids. Brosh Chapel in Solon is in charge of arrangements.
Helen was born March 26, 1921, in Elkhorn, Neb., to parents, Steven and Dora (Jensen) Shediwy. She was the youngest of four children. She graduated from De Soto Consolidated School. On March 30, 1942, she married Charles F. Scheetz. He died in December 1973. There were no children.
Helen was a member of the United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women since 1945.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews and their families.
