Schaffer, Anita Mae
Anita Mae Schaffer, 87, of rural Manchester, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2011, at the Regional Medical Center in Manchester. Mass of Resurrection: 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 19, at St. John's Catholic Church in Delhi, with the Rev. John Kremer celebrant. Interment: St. John's Cemetery, Delhi. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home, Manchester, and one hour before the service Friday at the church.
Survivors include her two sons, Steven of Salt Lake City, and Phillip (Pamela) of Manchester; three grandchildren, Melody (David) Voelker of Manchester, Timothy Schaffer of Manchester, and Dustin Schaffer of Jesup; one great-grandson, Logan; one brother, Frank (Joyce) Naber of Dyersville; and three sisters, Agnes (Gerald) Weber of Hopkinton, Mary (Don) Weber of Monticello, and Betty (Gene) Krapfl of Earlville.
Anita was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lawrence; a daughter, Gladys Mae; one brother, Henry Naber; and three sisters, Janette Boge, Jane McGrane and an infant sister.
