Schade, Dennis
Dennis Schade, 41, of Mission Hills, Calif., formerly of Cedar Rapids, died there Sunday, March 14, 2010, at Providence Holy Cross Hospital. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at First Lutheran Church, Cedar Rapids, with the Rev. Dr. Kay Slocum officiating. Visitation will be at 10 a.m. Friday until the time of service Friday at the church. Private inurnment will follow at a later date.
Survivors include his mother, Diane; and four sisters, Kristine (Aaron) McClellan, Karen (Travis) Schade-Meyers, Melissa Schade and Ashley McGovern; three nephews, Austin, Tytan and Cole; and two nieces, Riley and KaeLea.
He is also survived by a grandmother, Wanda Cook of Cedar Rapids; an aunt and uncle of Homestead, Ark.; a great-aunt and uncle; and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, David Schade; and grandparents, Robert Cook and Richard and Ardis Schade.
Dennis was born to David and Diane (Cook) Schade on May 6, 1968, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He loved camping, fishing, hiking and the mountains. He also loved the Miami Dolphins, the Yankees and the Hawkeyes. Dennis looked forward to always coming home to spend time with his mother and four sisters.
