Satterlee, Lillian Mae (Faust)
Lillian Mae (Faust) Satterlee, 69, of Manchester, died Monday, Sept. 13, 2010, at home after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. Funeral services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the First Lutheran Church, Manchester, by Pastor David Weber and Dr. Rev. Jean Rabary. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. today at Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Manchester. Burial: Pine View Cemetery, Delaware.
Lillian was born Nov. 14, 1940, in Delaware County, the daughter of Walter and Vernita (Opperman) Faust. She attended school at Bear Creek, graduating from Strawberry Point High School in 1961. On June 5, 1981, she was united in marriage to Roger Satterlee in Cedar Rapids. The couple owned and operated Best Cleaners in Manchester for 26 years.
Lillian is survived by her husband, Roger Satterlee of Manchester; children, Donna (Ken) Fangman of Farley, and Diane (Paul) Hammell of Raymore, Mo.; three grandchildren, Alison and Austin Hammell and Derek Fangman; and siblings, Kenneth (Faye) Faust of Strawberry Point, Edward (Lois) Faust of Lamont, Carolyn (Steve) Strauss of Tannyville, Mo., Mary Hilby of Manchester, Marilyn (Ira) Voshell of Strawberry Point, and Janice (Wayne) Larson of Fayette.
Lillian was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Vernita Faustl her grandmother, Catherine “Merle” Opperman; a sister, Dorothy Elaine Faust; and a brother-in-law, Don Hilby.
