Sarina graduated from North High in West Union, Iowa. Then following her service in the United States Air Force, she attended community college in northeast Iowa for secretarial duties. She then worked for the Iowa National Guard at Camp Dodge. Following her employment there, she began working for the Department of Agriculture where she met the love of her life, Dennis. After Dennis and Sarina were married and had started their family, Sarina attended Des Moines Area Community College and earned her degree in nursing. She spent her nursing career at Iowa Lutheran Hospital, Mary Greeley Hospital, Blood Center of Iowa, and Surgery Center of Iowa. After retiring, she and Dennis moved to Janesville, Wis., to be close to their children and grandchildren.
Sarina was the proud mother of David (Jennifer) Chapman and Christopher (Anne) Chapman. She was loved deeply by her four grandchildren Macy, Josie, Alli, and Hayden.
