Wanda Rawson Sargent
Mrs. Wanda Kloos Rawson Sargent, 70, wife of Thomas Nelson Sargent of Six Mile, S.C., passed away Friday, Oct. 4, 2013, at her residence.
Born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to the late Harry and Essie Johnson Kloos, Mrs. Sargent was a former employee of United Life Insurance Co. in Cedar Rapids. While living in Iowa, she was very active in the community - was a member of Insurance Women of Cedar Rapids Inc., served as a chaplain for the American Legion Auxiliary of Hanford Post 5, and volunteered with Community Friends for Linn County Mental Health Advocates. Wanda loved flowers, and in her free time, you could always find her in the garden taking care of all the different types that she had planted.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a son, Greg Mohr (Marilyn) of Sidney, Mont.; four brothers, Don, Glenn and her twin, Wayne Kloos, all of Cedar Rapids, and Art Kloos of Hiawatha; a sister, Bonnie Mitchell of Bella Vista, Ark.; two grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and one great-great-nephew.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by three sisters, Twyla Kloos, Velma Mohr and Betty Edmonds.
Memorial services were 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9, in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, Easley, S.C.
