Sarby, Deane H.
Deane H. Sarby, 57, of Cedar Rapids, formerly of Waterloo, passed away Feb. 14, 2011, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha, with his family by his side, after a brave battle with cancer. Private services to follow in the spring.
Survivors include his fiancee, Judy Walter; his father, Duane Sarby of Cedar Rapids; brothers, Derl (Christy) Sarby of Wadsworth, Ill., and Dale Sarby of Wisconsin Dells, Wis.; twin sister, Debra (Tim) Price of Naperville, Ill.; and many loving family members.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Roxie L. Hoaglund of Stuart, Fla.
He was a long time resident of Iowa and a loving son, brother and family member. Deane lived hard, loved often, and met death on his own terms.
He will be missed by all who loved him.
Memorials may be given to the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, 315 18th Ave., Hiawatha, IA 52233-2042.
