Sarah Jane Thomas, 54, formerly of Center Point and Walker, Iowa, died Nov. 20, 2023, at Windsor Place Senior Living in Sigourney, Iowa, where she was loved, cherished, and received excellent care for the past three years. Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation assisted the family.
The family will greet guests starting at 9:30 a.m. at Walker United Methodist Church on Saturday, Dec. 9, 2023, with a memorial service immediately following at 11 a.m. Private family inurnment at Center Point Cemetery.
Sarah was born Oct. 19, 1969, to Duane and Lucile (Lucy) Thomas Burkart. She attended Center Point Consolidated School, graduating in 1988. She enjoyed embroidering and helping others. She was a member of the Walker United Methodist Church and the Walker American Legion.
Survivors include her sister, Diane (Tom) Achilles of Omaha; Uncle Laurence and Aunt Dixie Reed of Swisher, Aunt Jeanette and Uncle Vern of Butte, Mont., Aunt Deena Carrow of Arkansas, as well as cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents Lindley and Nina Reed and Carl and Mabel Thomas, and her brother Jim.
