Sarah J. Bascom, 76, of Cedar Rapids, passed away on Feb. 11, 2022.
Per Sarah's wishes, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Survivors include her children, Geri (Brooks) Norton of Cedar Rapids, Jaci (Scott) Morrow of Casa Grande, Ariz., and Tim (Amy Petersen) Childers of Evansdale, Iowa; four grandchildren, Roechelle, Daniel, Victor and Katey; six great-grandchildren; and sisters, Mary Zahn, Patty Bascom and Bonnie Joyner, all of Cedar Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jerry Bascom; and sister, Debbie Bascom.
Sarah J. Bascom was born May 28, 1945, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Edgar and Luella (Evans) Bascom. Sarah was a caregiver for many years in various local nursing homes. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in her name to the Catherine McAuley Center, 1220 Fifth Ave. SE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52403.
