Sandra “Sandy” S. Jennings, 82, of Davenport, passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2024 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, November 25, 2024 at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Bettendorf. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until time of service. Burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be left to Our Savior Lutheran Church. Online condolences may be expressed at www.weertsfh.com.
Sandy was born on June 20, 1942 in Cedar Rapids, IA to Erwin and Violet (Reinking) Lehrman. She graduated from Lincoln Stanwood High School in 1960. She was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart Wallace “Wally” Jennings on October 12, 1962 in Stanwood, IA. He preceded her in death on April 5, 2012.
Sandy was an avid antique collector and she loved to travel. She enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s sporting events and various activities. Sandy was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church. She had a strong faith and lived a life devoted to the Lord and her family.
Survivors include her children, Doug (Sue) Jennings, Kim (Joel) Peterson and Jeff Jennings; grandchildren, Erin Halverson, Rachel and Morgan Jennings, Maggie, Jack and Joey Peterson, Luke, Cole, Zoe, Gunner and Rayce Jennings, sisters, Karen Hass and Roma Panther and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a sister, Lana Dettbarn.
