Sandra Louise "Sandy" Noren, 80, died Friday, May 11, 2018, at Virginia Gay Hospital in Vinton because of an extended illness. Memorial service: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 22, at First Christian Church in Vinton. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, May 21, at the church. Inurnment: Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Missouri Valley, Iowa, at a later date.
Sandy is survived by her husband, Mike Pettinger of Vinton; her children, Roy (Kelly) Noren of Omaha, Neb., Patty (Jeff) Peterson, Robert (Molly) Noren and Frederick (Sue) Noren, all of Vinton; sister, Patricia Cavanaugh of Pleasant Hill, Tenn.; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren, plus one more on the way.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Ralph Noren; one sister, Connie Edmonds; and brother-in-law, Jim Cavenaugh.
