Sandra “Sandi” Irene Clouse, age 87, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Monday, March 3, 2025, at Kensington Manor Nursing Home in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. Visitation: 9:00 to 11:00 am, March 18, 2025, at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories, Cedar Rapids, followed immediately by the Funeral Service at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Sandi is survived by her son, Jordan, granddaughter, Bethany (Randy) Quinn, great-grandson Morgan and her grand-puppy, Toshi. She is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Ruth Clouse.
Sandi was born October 28, 1937, in Cedar Rapids. She was a graduate of Franklin High School and received an Associate of Arts degree from Kirkwood Community College. She worked at May Drugstore from 1957 – 1959 and then at Stejskals Flower Shop from 1959 – 1961. After her son, Jordan, was born, she worked in the admissions department of St. Luke’s Hospital from 1962 to 1999, retiring as the Manager of Admissions. She then worked for Dr. Patricia McGuire from 1999 – 2002, when she finally retired.
She was a member and regional representative of the National Association of Hospital Admitting Managers and received her certification as an Accredited Admitting Manager in 1978. She was a founding member of the Iowa Admitting and Healthcare Access Association, serving in various positions, including President. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Cedar Rapids.
Sandi enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially “The Group” from St. Luke’s Hospital. She loved movies, making floral arrangements and making people happy. She treasured the time she spent with her son and grand-puppy, and the opportunity to travel
