Sandra Jean Allen, 73, Cedar Rapids, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, Nov. 17, with her family by her side.
Friends may visit with the family from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday Nov. 23, at Teahen Funeral Home, with a time for reflection and sharing from 6 to 7 p.m.
Sandra is survived by her husband, Ronald; sons, Michael (Jill) Allen of Cedar Rapids and Matthew (Nicole) Allen of Robins; daughter, Melissa Murray of Robins; grandchildren, Stacia (Curtis) Otto of Alburnett, Delaney Allen of Oxford, Baileigh Allen of Cedar Rapids, Gaige Allen of Robins, Justin (Kaitlyn) Allen, stationed in Ft. Hood, Texas, Lucas Allen of Cedar Rapids and Dax Murray of Robins; great-granddaughter, Amelia Otto of Alburnett; brothers, Jim Sharp, Steven (Donna) Sharp; and sister, Susan Bachar.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister-in-law, Joan Sharp; and nephew, Robert Sharp.
Sandra was born Nov. 29, 1948, in Marshalltown, daughter of Louis and Helen (Ingledue) Sharp. She graduated in 1967 from Marshalltown High School and Gerald’s School of Hair Design and Cosmetology in 1968. Sandra married Ronald Allen Jr. on Aug. 9, 1968, at First Friends Church in Marshalltown. She was a self-employed beautician for St. Luke’s Living Centers East and West, and retired from Sally Beauty Supply.
Sandra knew the Lord and was a devout believer. If she knew you, she likely prayed for you.
