Sandersfeld, Helen A.

Helen A. Sandersfeld died Thursday, Nov. 22, 2012, at Lantern Park Nursing and Rehab Center, Coralville, at the age of 90 years.

She is survived by her son, Thomas R. (Jerilyn) Sandersfeld of Iowa City; two brothers, Herb (Amanda) Beer of Cedar Rapids and Martin (Jo) Beer of Iowa City; four sisters, Paula Sandersfeld of North English, Norma Mollison and Sylvia Taulbee, both of Minneapolis, and Lois Dunnavent of Harrisburg, Pa.; a brother-in-law, Vernon (Esther) Sandersfeld of Homestead; two daughters-in-law, Sandra Sandersfeld of Sioux Falls, S.D., and Barbara Sandersfeld Denison (Eric) of North English; four grandchildren, Erin (Matt) Nosbisch, Tyler, Justin and Shaelyn; two great-grandchildren, Rainey and Trice Nosbisch; and many nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wally; two sons, John and Charles (Chuck); and two sisters, Dorothea and Esther.

Celebration of Life Service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 25, at St. John Lutheran Church near Homestead. Pastor Terry Small will officiate. Burial will be at St. John Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Williamsburg.
