Sandage, Marie T.
Marie T. Sandage, 86, of Conrad, formerly of Center Point, died Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012, at Iowa River Hospice, Marshalltown. Services: 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Center Point. The family will greet friends from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial: Center Point Cemetery.
Survivors include her daughter, Linda (Terry) Dennison of Conrad; grandchildren, Megan (Jon) Barrett and Nikki (Ross) Hartwig; great-grandchildren, Elijah, Gavin and Brayden Barrett, Mikayla Dennison and Lane Hartwig; siblings, Philip Riffey of Urbana, Janet (Don) Stickle of Anamosa and Martha Relf of Phoenix, Ariz.; numerous nieces and nephews; her good friend, Darlene Markowitz of Conrad; and her cat, Dusty.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Clay; parents; and siblings, Mary Soden, Jimmy Riffey, Bob Riffey and Dixie Johnson.
Born Sept. 3, 1925, in Benton County, Iowa, Marie was the daughter of John and Alice (Fetherkile) Riffey. On Dec. 7, 1946, in Caruthersville, Mo., she was united in marriage to Clay Sandage. He died April 14, 1992. She retired from Wilson Foods.
Marie was a member of the Church of Christ in Liscomb. She enjoyed her garden, flowers, cats, crafts, crossword and jig saw puzzles and skipbo with her family.
Marie's greatest joy was spending time with her family, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made in Marie's memory to Iowa River Hospice, 502 Plaza Heights Rd., Marshalltown, IA 50158-4544.
