Sally M. Davis, 84, of Hiawatha, died Thursday, Dec. 31, 2020, at her home. At Sally's request there will be no visitation or service. Inurnment in Cedar
Memorial Park Cemetery. Iowa Cremation is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include her husband, Larry; two sons, Jeffrey (Pat) of Hiawatha and Douglas (Kathy) of Hawkeye. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Izzi (Aaron) Byrd, Marshall (David) Sunnes, Brian (Natalie) Davis and Tara (Todd) Dunford; seven great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Greta Davis of West Union; special friend, Lois Bennett of Cedar Rapids; and many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by two sons, Mike and Dan; six sisters; and two brothers.
Sally was born on Jan. 2, 1936, in Oelwein, the daughter of Ray and Georgia (VanHouten) Berg. She married Larry J. Davis on May 5, 1956, in Oelwein.
Sally was a teacher at the Hiawatha Preschool as well as working at Donutland for many years, where she enjoyed the company of many regular customers. Sally was a member of the Hope United Church of Christ in Hiawatha.
Sally enjoyed travel with Larry, taking care of her flower garden, and especially the time spent with her beloved family and friends.
Sally will forever be remembered as a wonderful and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend whose memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
