Sally S. Loughren, 70, of Central City, passed away at her home on Thursday, May 5, 2016. Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 9, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Central City. Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 10, at the funeral home, conducted by Pastor Vicki Engelmann, with a lunch following at Central City American Legion Wapsie Post 421.
Survivors include her husband, John; two sons, Mike (Dawn) Loughren of Coggon and Mark Loughren of Cedar Rapids; five grandchildren, Amanda, Brenden, Heather, Jonathan and Jordyn; three great-grandchildren, Riley, Kenzie and Mikeal; twin brother, Sam (Duger) Rudd; and sister, Judy (Al) Heims.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Gary Rudd and Joey Rudd.
Sally was born Sunday, July 15, 1945, in Mechanicsville, Iowa, the daughter of Samual "Archie" and Dora "Louise" (Johnson) Rudd. On Aug. 31, 1968, she married John Loughren in Marion. She retired from Rockwell Collins in 2003. Sally enjoyed camping, stock car races, reading, quilting and spending time with her family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in memory of Sally.
