Sally M. Goodell, 76, of Cedar Rapids, formerly of Oelwein, died Tuesday morning, April 8, 2014, at UnityPoint-St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids. Mass of Christian Burial: 11 a.m. Monday, April 14, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oelwein, with the Rev. Paul C. McManus and Deacon Jim Patera officiating, Visitation: from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home in Oelwein, where there will be a Parish Scripture service at 7 p.m. Interment: Woodlawn Cemetery, Oelwein.
Memorials may be given in her name to Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oelwein.

Sally Mary Clark was born Jan. 5, 1938, in Oelwein, Iowa, the daughter of Richard and Mary (Kirby) Clark. She graduated from the Oelwein High School in 1956. Sally married Ronald Lee Goodell on Sept. 6, 1958, at Sacred Heart Cath-olic Church in Oelwein. She was a homemaker and also a secretary for many years for the Oelwein Community School District and later a secretary for KOEL radio station in Oelwein.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oelwein. Sally enjoyed attending her sons and grand-childrens' athletic and extracurricular events; was a member of a sorority and bridge clubs and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially playing games.
Sally is survived by her husband of 55 years, Ronald Goodell of Cedar Rapids; two sons, Todd (Donna) Goodell of Marion and Chris (Shannon) Goodell of Holmen, Wis.; daughter-in-law, Fran Goodell of Bolingbrook, Ill.; nine grandchildren, Emily, Nick, Samantha, Katie, Annie, Kyle, Carson, Hayden and Adalyn; two sisters, Karen (Gary) McCullough of Henderson, Nev., and Peggy (Dave) Sharstrom of Lewiston, Mont.; and brother, Terry Clark of Harrisville, Miss.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son (Timothy Ray Goodell on Oct. 5, 2001) and a brother (Richard Clark Jr.).
