Sally Ann Falconer, 79, died Sunday, June 22, 2014, at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids. Service will
be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, June 28, at Cedar Me-morial Park Chapel of Memories in Cedar Rapids, with visitation beginning at 12:30 p.m. Saturday. Certified Celebrant Jim Parton will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Surviving are nieces and nephews, Mike (Rachel) Hall of Indianola, Beth (Russell) Wright of Tighlman Island, Md., and Mary Sue (Bob) Decker of Warrenton, Va.; and her beloved cat, Lucy.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William L. Falconer; and two brothers, Donald and Kenneth Hall.
Sally was born Sept. 19, 1934, in Coggon, Iowa, and graduated from Marion High School in 1953. She was the daughter of Donald and Maud Miller Hall. Sally and William L. Falconer were united in marriage on Jan. 21, 1956. William was killed while serving in the U.S. Air Force on July 6, 1956. Sally worked as a medical receptionist for Dr. Carl Stark in Cedar Rapids for many years and for Town Square Paperback Books in Marion after her retirement.
Sally enjoyed her family, pets and the company of her neighbors.
She was a loving daughter, wife, sister, aunt and friend and will be missed dearly by those closest to her.
Memorials in Sally's name may be made to the Cedar Valley Humane Society.
