Sager, Anna M. ('Babe' Long)
Anna M. (“Babe” Long) Sager, 87, of Cedar Rapids, passed away at Woodlands at the Meth-Wick Community on Monday, Nov. 4, 2013. Funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Friends may visit one hour before the service Thursday at the chapel. Interment will be at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include her children, Larry (Jeanna) Sager, Carol (Larry) Klotzbach and Janet Sager; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Don.
Anna was born in Cedar Rapids, to James and Libbie Long. She married Donald A. Sager on Sept. 1, 1945.
Anna will be remembered as a good wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, homemaker and pie maker! She always put her family and their happiness first. Anna enjoyed baking, embroidery and the bus trips where she and Don made new friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Ed & Joan Hemphill Hospice Unit at St. Luke's Hospital.
