Diane Marie Saddoris, 65, died Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House, Hiawatha. A celebration of life will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 19, at the Hiawatha Community Center. Burial will be at a later date in Morley, Iowa.
Survivors include her husband, Rick Saddoris; children, Rick Saddoris Jr, Robert Saddoris and Brian Saddoris; brothers, Joe Axline, Dale Axline, Terry Axline and Jess Axline; and sisters, Pat Axline, Neta Connradt, Judy Medberry, Marilyn Merrill.
She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Axline; mother, Melva Jayne-Axline; and Steven Axline, Lola Taro and Robert Axline.
She was born in Anamosa, Iowa, on July 3, 1948. She was a very outgoing and sociable person, who didn't let anything hold her back. She loved going to McDonalds and shopping at the Salvation Army. She was a stay-at-home mom.
Over the years she had several illnesses that led up to her passing by congestive heart failure.
