RYAN LEE PETERSON
Webster City
Ryan Lee Peterson, son of Roger Lee and Barbara Jeanne Peterson, was born Sept. 20, 1976, in Fort Dodge, Iowa, and passed away Thursday, Aug. 18, 2016, in San Diego, Calif., of an intestinal bleeding disorder. He attended Webster City schools, graduating in 1995, and attended the University of Northern Iowa, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in finance.
Ryan was united in marriage to Amy Michelle Dalton on Aug. 9, 2003. The had two children, Kamryn Leah and Rory Dalton Peterson. He began his career in financial management at Wells Fargo in Des Moines and was most recently with Rockwell Collins in the San Diego area. He loved the Hawkeyes, golf, live music and most of all, his children.
He is survived by his wife, Amy; children, Kamryn and Rory, all of San Diego; brother, Reid of Denver, Colo.; mother, Barb and stepfather, Roger Lenz of Webster City; Amy's parents, Mark and Diane Dalton of Iowa City; brother-in-law, Dan (Quan) of San Diego; stepbrothers, Dan of Ankeny and Ryan (Becky) of Adel; stepsisters, Cara of Minneapolis and Liza (Scott) Toborg of Rochester, Minn.; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Those he has joined in heaven include his father, Roger Lee; and grandparents, Merle and Alice Peterson of Manson and Floyd and Viola Draper of Pipestone, Minn.
Memorial services were held Aug. 22 at Alhiser-Comer Mortuary in San Diego. Family memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, at Foster Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Webster City, followed by a memorial visitation from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Casual attire, preferably Iowa Hawkeyes, is suggested. Burial of the cremains will be held at a later date in Rose Hill Cemetery, Manson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials will be accepted for his children's future education.
