Ryan, Jamie Matthew

, 33, of Ankeny, died Friday, Sept. 25, 2009, at his home. Visitation, with the family present, will be 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Hamilton's near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines, with a 7 p.m. prayer service. Following the visitation, Jamie will be cremated and a private burial of his cremated remains will take place at a later date.

Jamie is survived by his father, Jeff (Julie) Ryan; his mother, Sherry Welch; his siblings, Shay (Greg) Vrchoticky, Zach and Alec Ryan; grandparents, Ralph and Joann Welch; aunts and uncles, Mary Ryan, Scott (Deb) Ryan, Lisa (Scott) McFall, Rick (Shimene) Ryan, Beth (John) Ravis, Cindy (Ron) McDowell, Chris (Steve) Weymiller, Terry (Laurie) Welch, Jill (Jim) Kiesau and Kim (Amy) Welch; Lady Branham; and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Matthew Thomas and Ruby Elizabeth Ryan; uncle, Tom Ryan; and aunt, Jackie Welch.

He was born Sept. 3, 1976, in Waterloo, Iowa. He was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan, as well as of the Ankeny Hawks. Jamie enjoyed working on cars and being outdoors, hunting, fishing and doing landscaping.
