Ruthann Dill, 75, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away surrounded by family on March 3, 2021.
The daughter of Wilford and Betty (Lane) Denison, she was born in Des Moines, on June 15, 1945. She grew up in North English, Iowa, and graduated from English Valley High School in 1963. She worked at Colonial Bakery Thrift Stores and retired after 14 years. In 1990, she and her husband started Annie's Lunch Wagon for five years. They then went on to run Dill's Original Kettle Korn from 1995 to 2018. She enjoyed watching the Iowa Hawkeyes, spending time with her grandkids, and baking.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Jerry L. Dill; her two sons, David (Cindy) Dill and Darren (Whitney) Dill; and grandchildren, Cody (Sarah) Dill, Bryce Merchant, Alecia Dill and Riley (Landon) Degen; and great-grandkids, Logan Dill, Brenna Dill, Erin Dill and Renner Degen; and siblings, Gary (Larry) Denison, Pam Denison and Crystal (Stan) Weiss.
Celebration of Life will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 27, at IBEW Local 405, 1211 Wiley Blvd. SW, Cedar Rapids (Masks Required). A private burial ceremony will be held at a later date at the Keota Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to the Family of Ruthann Dill to be donated to Hospice of Mercy Cedar Rapids and a foundation dedicated to Wegener's Disease research.
