Ruth Vifian, 73, of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, June 27, 2018, at Heritage Nursing & Rehab Center. Services: private. A visitation will be held from 4 to
6 p.m. on Saturday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her husband, David; her sister, Shirley Hulen of Cedar Rapids; her children, David Lee Vifian of Cedar Rapids and Christina Vifian of Central City; grandchildren, David (Courtney) Joseph Vifian of Cedar Rapids, Dustin (Nicole) Vifian of Cedar Rapids, Desiree Vifian of Cedar Rapids, and Marissa and Janelle Vifian of Cedar Rapids; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sons, Steven Paul Vifian and Michael Vifian; her sister, Marilyn Holmann; and her brother, Harry Hittie Jr.
Ruth was born Dec. 4, 1944, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Harry and Virginia (Sterns) Hittie. She married David G. Vifian on Dec. 12, 1965, in Cedar Rapids. Ruth was employed with Mercy Hospital in housekeeping. She enjoyed cooking, shopping and being with her family. Please leave a message for the family on our web page, www.cedarmemorial.com.
