Ruth A. Schlitter, 88, of Oelwein, formerly of Allison, died Saturday morning, May 20, 2017, at Grandview Health Care Center in Oelwein.
Celebration of Life funeral service: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 23, at Grace United Methodist Church, Oelwein. Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home, Oelwein, and for one hour before the service at the church on Tuesday. Interment: 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Monona City Cemetery, Monona.
A memorial fund has been established.

Ruth is survived by her three children, Dale (Tammy) Schlitter of Bartlett, Ill., Jan (Terry) Tilleraas of Dodgeville, Wis., and Dean (Sue) Schlitter of Oelwein; and many grandchildren.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Bob, on Feb. 17, 2012.
