Ruth Louise Fratzke, 83, formerly of Hiawatha, died
on Sunday, July 22, 2018, in Lehigh Acres, Fla. Services:
1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories by the Rev. Scott Shannahan. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 31, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Inurnment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Darrell; her children, Reva M. (Leonard) Tucker of Shelbyville, Tenn., Ronald L. (Yolanda) Fratzke of Azle, Texas, Steven W. (Lisa) Fratzke of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Dara L. Morreo of Bristol, R.I., and Leon M. (Cheryl) Fratzke of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Also surviving are her siblings, Sharyl Perry of Waverly, Iowa, Wanda Hayzlett of Maynard, Iowa, Bernadette Schulmeister of Ellinwood, Kan., Wesley Fox of Waterloo, Iowa, Susan Gericke of Waterloo, Iowa, and Phyllis Fox of Hazleton, Iowa; 19 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Marlette; and two brothers, Lee, and Ray.
Ruth was born Feb. 5, 1935, in Waterloo, Iowa, the daughter of Alvin and Hilda (Miller) Fox. She married Darrell W. Fratzke on June 12, 1953, in Independence, Iowa. Ruth was an active member of the Lehigh Acres Senior Citizens Center of Lehigh Acres, Fla. Her interests included cooking, photography, computers, crocheting, cake decorating, crossword puzzles and reading. She loved the time she spent working for a bank, where she had many friends.
