Ruth Maxine Linn, 99, of Tipton, died Wednesday, April 29, 2015, in Cedar Manor Nursing Home. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Sunday, May 3, at Pee Dee Cemetery, rural Springdale, with Linda Beck sharing personal remarks.
Ruth was born Jan. 14, 1916, in Stanwood, Iowa, and was the daughter of Harry Douglas and Eliza Ethel Bailey Cronkhite. Ruth attended Stanwood High School and was united in marriage to Clarence Edward Linn on Dec. 17, 1931, in Tipton. She worked in different capacities in various grocery stores in Tipton and was a past member of Rebekah's Lodge.
Ruth is survived by her son, Charles (Janice) Linn of Tipton; her three daughters, Jeannette Jones of Cedar Rapids, and Yvonne Linn and Priscilla Linn of Fulton, Mo.; nine grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grand children.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence, on Jan. 18, 1995; and two granddaughters, Penny and Dawn.
A memorial has been established in her memory and will be directed to the Cedar Manor Nursing Home in Tipton.
