Ruth Jones, 89, of Grinnell, died on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at Cottage Grove Place in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
A service of remembrance will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at the Smith Funeral Home in Grinnell. A visitation will follow the service from 1:30 to 4 p.m. at the Smith Funeral Home. Interment will be held privately by the family at Prairie View Cemetery in Gilman.
Memorials may be designated to the St. Francis Manor Foundation to benefit the Hammond Center for Assisted Living and mailed in care of the Smith Funeral Home and Crematory, P.O. Box 368, Grinnell, IA 50112. Memories and condolences may be shared with Ruth’s family online at www.smithfh.com.
Ruth is survived by her children, Michele (Scott) McLeod of Iowa City and Scott Jones of Minneapolis, Minn.; two grandchildren, Brianne (Pinaki) Das of Joliet, Ill., and Kaityln (Lance) Angstman of Marshalltown, Iowa; and a great-granddaughter, Torvi Angstman.
