Ruth Joanne Dzikonski, 81, died Sunday, Aug. 17, 2014.
Survivors include her husband,
Joseph Dzikonski; children, Jill (Kevin) Sullivan and Craig (Alisha) Dzikonski; a brother, David (Marilyn) Carlson; and grandchildren, Luke, Jacob and Matthew Sullivan, Quinn and Tate Dzikonski and Brielle Thompson.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Ruth was born Nov. 21, 1932, in Superior, Wis., to David and Alice Carlson. She married Joseph Stanley Dzikonski on July 12, 1958, in Superior. She was a resident of Cedar Rapids since 1959. Ruth was a member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church. She graduated from Central High School and was employed by Collins Radio Company, Cedar Rapids Schools and Tanager Place. She volunteered for Meals on Wheels, American Red Cross and American Cancer Society.
