RUTH VIRGINIA BREIDENBACH
Cedar Rapids
Ruth Virginia Breidenbach passed away Jan. 27, 2017, in Ottawa, Kan. She lived in Ottawa for a year-and-a-half. Before her move to Ottawa, she lived in Cedar Rapids for the last 60 years. Ruth was born in Two Harbors, Minn., to August and Micala Edwardson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter A. Breidenbach, and her parents.
Ruth is survived by her son, David, and his wife, Connie Breidenbach, of Wellsville, Kan.; her daughter, Nancy, and her husband, Kirk Cleveland, of Kennesaw, Ga.; four grandchildren, Nicholas Breidenbach, Phillip Breidenbach, Christen Tinnes and Shawna Lampton; and five great-grandchildren.
She has two surviving sisters, Delores Madsen of Chetek, Wis., and Mae Singer of Minneapolis, Minn.; along with cousins, nieces and nephews.
Ruth was an accomplished artist and loved her garden. She also loved to travel with family and fish with her husband, Wally, in the lakes of Minnesota.
She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Cedar Rapids and also attended Faith Lutheran in Ottawa.
Donations in her memory may be made to her two churches.
