Coggon
Russell W. Fisher, Sr., 84, of Coggon, passed away on Friday, July 12, 2024, at Linn Manor Care Center in Marion. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2024, from 1 pm to 4 pm at Monti Community Center, Coggon, Iowa.
Russell Wayne Fisher was born on January 9, 1940, to Fred and Bernita (Dudley) Fisher in Newton Township, Buchanan County, Iowa. He was united in marriage to Janet Wood on November 12, 1960, in Monti, Iowa. Russell enjoyed watching the Fisher Bucking Bulls at the rodeo, farming, and coon hunting. He was NOT a member of the DPC.
He is survived by his wife, Janet; children, Sandra (Rick) Kruger of Fairfax; Fred Fisher of Coggon; Valerie (Don) Schmidt of Manchester; Suzanne Fisher of Cedar Rapids; Wayne (Tracy) Fisher of Coggon; and Russell (Chris) Fisher, Jr. of Coggon; 15 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Russell was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Norman Fisher.
